Privacy Policy

Effective Date: April 6, 2026

Weproxa (“we”, “our”, “us”) is a native macOS HTTP/HTTPS proxy debugger. Your privacy matters to us. This policy explains what data we collect, how we use it, and your rights.

Weproxa runs entirely on your local machine. Network traffic you capture, inspect, or modify never leaves your computer. Specifically:

  • Captured HTTP/HTTPS requests and responses are stored locally in memory and in a local SQLite database.
  • SSL certificates and private keys generated by Weproxa are stored in your local app data directory.
  • Map Local rules, breakpoint rules, block list rules, and other tool configurations are saved locally as JSON files.

We have no access to your intercepted traffic or local configuration.

We use Umami, a privacy-focused analytics service, to collect anonymous usage statistics on our documentation website (weproxa.com). Umami does not use cookies, does not track users across websites, and does not collect personal information. Data collected includes:

  • Page views and referrer URLs
  • Browser type and operating system
  • Country (based on anonymized IP)

No personally identifiable information is collected by Umami.

The Weproxa desktop app may use Sentry for crash reporting and error tracking. When an error occurs, the following may be sent:

  • Error message and stack trace
  • App version and operating system version
  • A randomly generated anonymous session ID

No captured network traffic, personal data, or file contents are ever included in error reports.

If you purchase a Weproxa Pro license, your license key is validated through Lemon Squeezy. This involves:

  • Sending your license key to Lemon Squeezy’s API for activation and validation.
  • Lemon Squeezy processes your payment and stores your purchase information under their own privacy policy.

We do not store your payment information. We only store your license key locally on your device.

We may use PostHog to query feature flags that control app behavior. These requests are anonymous and do not include personal data.

  • Your intercepted HTTP/HTTPS traffic
  • Request or response bodies, headers, or URLs you debug
  • Your SSL certificates or private keys
  • Contents of files used in Map Local rules
  • Your IP address (for app functionality)

Each service operates under its own privacy policy.

All user data is stored locally on your macOS device. We do not operate servers that store your personal data or captured traffic. Communication with third-party services (Sentry, Lemon Squeezy, PostHog) uses HTTPS encryption.

Weproxa is a developer tool and is not directed at children under 13. We do not knowingly collect information from children.

We may update this privacy policy from time to time. Changes will be posted on this page with an updated effective date.
