Installation macOS

WePROXA 3.0.0 and later supports both macOS and Windows. This page covers the macOS build. For Windows, see Installation Windows.

System Requirements

Download the latest macOS version of WePROXA:

curl -fsSL https://weproxa.com/i | bash

Open the DMG file you downloaded.
Drag WePROXA into your Applications folder.
Launch WePROXA from your Applications folder or Spotlight.
Trust the certificate before you inspect HTTPS. WePROXA creates its own root CA certificate on first launch, but it does not install it for you. Open Settings → CA Certificate and click Install to macOS. If you turn on SSL interception for a host before the certificate is trusted, WePROXA opens a guided setup prompt instead. See Certificate Trust for details.

To keep WePROXA up to date, see Updates.

To uninstall WePROXA:

If you have a Pro license, open Settings → License and click Deactivate first. This frees the activation so you can use the license on another Mac.
Quit WePROXA if it’s running. Quitting restores your previous system proxy settings.
Drag WePROXA from your Applications folder to the Trash.
Optionally, remove the CA certificate from your Keychain (search for “WePROXA” in Keychain Access).
If you installed the weproxa-mcp command for AI clients, remove it:

sudo rm /usr/local/bin/weproxa-mcp
```
Optionally, delete WePROXA’s data. Dragging the app to the Trash keeps your settings, rules, Workspaces, saved requests, and the CA certificate files. Export any Scenario you want to keep first, then run:
